Learn how to create beautiful felted roses during a private one-to-one online class with Inga from BureBure.
In this live workshop, you will learn different rose-making methods using fine merino wool, merino prefelt, or a combination of both. The lesson is adapted to your experience, materials, and creative ideas.

If you need extra time to complete an important step, the lesson may be extended by up to 30 minutes at no additional cost.
What You Will Learn
- Different ways to felt and shape a rose
- How to work with merino wool top and merino prefelt
- How to create different rose styles and forms
- How to decorate roses with silk, linen fibres, and other materials
- How to shape, dry, and stiffen the finished flower
- How to finish the back neatly
- How to attach a brooch pin or another fastening
Materials You Will Need
- Plastic bubble wrap
- Plain household soap
- Approximately 100 g of fine merino wool top, ideally 18–19 microns
- Merino prefelt, if required for your chosen method
- A small piece of synthetic or sheer curtain fabric
- Scissors
- Needle and thread
- A bowl or container with water
- A comfortable, water-resistant felting surface
Optional Materials
- Silk tissue or silk fabric pieces
- Hemp or linen fibres
- Silk or wool dyes
- Felting needles
- A container for heating water
Materials are not included in the class price. Do not worry if you do not have everything on the list. Inga can demonstrate additional materials and techniques using her own supplies.
