Collection: Dyed wool

This dyed Bergschaf wool collection was created by BureBure founder Inga for felt makers who want color, but still need wool that felts well.

Dyeing can slightly reduce wool’s natural felting ability, so the colors in this collection were carefully developed to keep the wool easy to work with. Inga mixed some shades so that one wool supports another, helping the fiber felt faster, shape better and stay forgiving during the felting process.

Please note the color type when choosing wool. Melange means the color is blended from several wool shades. Solid means one dyed color without a blended effect.

This wool felts quickly into firm, durable felt and is suitable for wet felting, needle felting, felting workshops and professional felt making. It works especially well for slippers, felted shoes, bags, rugs, pet beds, sauna hats, toys and firm accessories.

The wool is dyed in an EU factory according to EU standards. The colors are fixed, but not too aggressively, because we want to protect the wool’s felting quality. Some colors may bleed slightly during felting, especially in warm water, but the finished felted piece should not stain in normal use.
