Thin Extra Fine Merino Felt Cap – Soft inner layer for traditional sauna hats

This lightweight felted cap is made from exceptionally fine 16 micron extra-soft merino wool. It is very thin, incredibly gentle, and soft to the touch — the feeling is similar to cashmere. For an even more luxurious feel, you can choose a version with one side covered in natural silk fiber.

This cap can be used as an inner layer under traditional sauna hats, which are usually made from thicker and coarser wool. By wearing it underneath, your skin comes into contact only with a very soft and delicate surface. It also makes maintenance easier — instead of frequently washing a thick felt hat, you can simply wash this lightweight inner cap. It dries quickly and is much easier to care for.

The cap can also be worn on its own:

• during ice baths or cold water therapy
• for morning swims in open water
• under a ski helmet
• or simply as a light, natural wool hat for everyday use

It is important to understand that this is felt, not knitwear. Felt does not stretch or cling to the head like knitted fabric. The shape can be adjusted by folding the edges, creating a deeper top, or styling it to your preference. For a more relaxed or oversized look, choose a larger size. The form can also be shaped and fixed if needed.

Care instructions:

Wash gently like all wool products

• hand wash at 30°C with wool detergent with minimal agitation
• machine wash using a wool program
• after washing, press out excess water (do not wring)
• reshape and lay flat to dry on a towel
• do not use a tumble dryer

Slight shrinkage may occur.
